We will cover problem behaviors such as jumping up as a greeting, door manners and more. Immediately your dog will develop an improved focus and attention span, and you'll begin to teach:
Loose Leash Walking.
Basic Manners II: Takes those behaviors learned in the first class and teaches you to train them to be reliable in the real world. Also how to teach wait on a mat to prevent door dashing and the important safety behavior, “Leave it!”
Homework each week, handouts and follow up emails. Small classes w/ lots of personal attention helps to set students up for success.
Loose Leash Walking
6 Week Class for $129
The focus of this 6 week class is to teach you how to train your dog to walk nicely next to you when on leash. We start out with basic exercises to help you lay down a solid foundation and progress to more advanced exercises that will help you proof this behavior to high distraction environments. This class will also help you if your dog has already learned to pull while on leash.
All specialty classes are taught using the mark and reward method and taking the Basic Manners I Class is a prerequisite. We offer classes to prepare dogs and handlers for various AKC Canine Good Citizen tests and the high distractions present for Therapy & Service Dog evaluations. Other classes including Intro to Rally, AKC Tricks and Platform Training for Sports are offered on demand.
